Richard (Dick) Thomson Memorial Award

2nd year Male or Female Ag Equipment Technician or Heavy Equipment Technician Diploma program (apprenticeship students not eligible). To be awarded to a student male or female in either the AET or HET Diploma programs who has ‘their heart in the game’. The student must have satisfactory grades but is not required to have the best GPA in the class. Citizenship and leadership must be exhibited, including participation in student activities; for example Ag Mech Club, volunteerism either in the community or on campus, participation in sports, or assisting with improving student life at the college or improving life for others in the community. If the top student in the financial need category has had a number of awards this award can go to the next eligible student as long as that person shows the personal characteristics as described above. Financial need, community involvement, displays leadership. The family wishes to encourage good people to become even better just as Dick lived his life!
