Ernest Anton Gisler

Ernest Anton Gisler came to Canada in 1962 at age 26, following his older brother Werner to Alberta.
Together with Vern and his wife Pam, they began a dairy farm east of Innisfail in 1964.
Over the course of thirty years, Gisler Brothers Dairy grew from ten cows in a ramshackle old barn to a provincially recognized herd of 100 high quality Holsteins in a modern dairy facility.
After retiring in 1992 and selling dairy he moved to his own farm.
He travelled extensively over the years, returning to Switzerland several times and travelling to South America, North and Eastern Europe, Thailand, Russia, Australia/New Zealand and all over the U.S. and Canada.
He was also a founding and current proud member of the Wildrose Yodelers.
He lived how he wanted on his own terms.
