David Herbert Memorial Fund

Dave Herbert was an alumnus of Olds College, graduating from the Horticulture program in 1967.
Dave returned to Olds College in the 1980’s in the capacity of Instructor and Coordinator where he inspired many students to pursue their career aspirations and dreams in the field of Horticulture.
Dave’s devotion to horticulture changed the landscape of Olds College and impacted the entire province.
He was instrumental in establishing the first Landscape Gardener Apprenticeship program. In creating the Landscape Construction Pavilion and in developing the Olds College Botanic Gardens.
