Alberta-British Columbia Seed Growers
The ABCSG is the provincial association for seed growers with roughly 650 members in both Alberta and British Columbia. We are an affiliate of the Canadian Seed Growers Association (CSGA) whose mandate is to foster a favourable regulatory and business environment for the seed industry.
Impact
Our ABCSG members play a critical role in the research to field continuum by trialing and multiplying new varieties of field crops and making them available for other producers to grow. ABCSG works with our members to support their individual businesses that grow and sell certified seed and to promote the value of seed production in the crop ecosystem.
ABCSG growers understand the value of ‘seeding’ to bring a long term investment to harvest. We believe that investing in students through scholarships like the Olds College Scholarship will benefit our community for years to come.
